Yaqi MA (马亚琪)
Hong Kong University of Science and Technology
From August 2016 to July 2020, I completed my undergraduate studies and obtained a bachelor's degree in Applied Physics from the Department of Physics at Beijing Institute of Technology. In 2021, I joined the Department of Physics at HKUST to pursue my PhD, which I am set to complete this summer. During my PhD, my research has focused on: (i) The fabrication of two-dimensional van der Waals heterostructure devices, including materials such as graphene, hexagonal boron nitride, and transition metal dichalcogenides (e.g., MoS₂, WSe₂); (ii) Electronic transport characterization under low temperatures and strong magnetic fields, with an emphasis on topological effects, strongly correlated flat-band systems, and other intriguing quantum phenomena.
