Xuelong Chen (陈学龙)
Hong Kong Polytechnic University
Chen Xuelong joined the Hong Kong Polytechnic University as a PhD student in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering (EEE) starting in 2024. His research focuses on topological states of matter and their applications in engineered systems. Specifically, he explores topological circuits and topological neural networks, leveraging graph theory to model and optimize their properties. Chen recently published work on systems with hidden symmetry in Phys. Rev. B titled "Topological states protected by hidden symmetry" (Phys. Rev. B 110, 035106 (2024)). He is passionate about discovering how topological principles can enhance the robustness and efficiency of next-generation computational and electronic platforms.
