Wenbin Rui
University of Hong Kong
Dr Rui Wenbin is a condensed matter physicist whose research focuses on the fascinating realms of topological phases of matter and non-equilibrium quantum systems. He investigates novel phenomena in topological materials—such as protected edge states and exotic quasiparticles—and explores their behaviour when driven out of equilibrium by external perturbations, time-dependent fields, or intrinsic dynamics. His work addresses fundamental questions about quantum matter, topological protection, and relaxation pathways in complex settings, employing theoretical modelling and analytical techniques. Dr Rui aims to uncover emergent quantum states and dynamical behaviours that are relevant to both foundational theory and future quantum technologies. He is currently affiliated with the University of Hong Kong.
