Wenbin Rui
The University of Hong Kong
Dr. Rui Wenbin is a condensed matter researcher whose research focuses on the intriguing fields of topological phases of matter and non-equilibrium quantum systems. He investigates novel phenomena arising in topological materials—such as protected edge states and exotic quasiparticles—and also focuses on the behaviour of these materials when driven out of equilibrium by external perturbations, time-dependent fields, or inherent dynamics. His work probes fundamental questions about quantum matter, topological protection, and relaxation pathways in these complex settings, using theoretical modeling and analytical techniques. Dr. Rui seeks to understand emergent quantum states and dynamics relevant to future quantum technologies and fundamental theory. He is currently affiliated with the University of Hong Kong.
