Ruiqi Xu (徐蕊琦)
Hong Kong University of Science and Technology
Ruiqi Xu is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Physics at the Georgia Institute of Technology, with graduation anticipated in August 2025. She will continue her academic journey as a doctoral student at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. Xu's research interests are rooted in condensed matter theory. Her previous work examined the topological properties of Chern insulators featuring magnetic defects, focusing on orbital magnetisation, bulk–boundary correspondence, and both theoretical and numerical methods for probing chirality. Looking ahead, Xu aims to investigate captivating quantum phenomena in strongly correlated systems that transcend the framework of non-interacting band theory—particularly the emergence of topological order and exotic excitations.
