Ruiqi Xu (徐蕊琦)
Hong Kong University of Science and Technology
I’m originally from China and currently pursuing an MS in Physics at the Georgia Institute of Technology, with expected graduation in August 2025. I will continue my studies as a PhD student at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology. My research interests lie in condensed matter theory. My previous work focused on the topological properties of Chern insulators with magnetic defects, including orbital magnetization, bulk-boundary correspondence, and both theoretical and numerical methods for probing chirality. Looking ahead, I hope to explore intriguing quantum phenomena in strongly correlated systems beyond the framework of non-interacting band theory—particularly the emergence of topological order and exotic excitations.
