During my studies at HKU, I have explored the fractional quantum anomalous Hall effect in the dice and Lieb lattices, and have also gained some understanding of the non-Hermitian fractional quantum Hall effect. I am particularly interested in analysing quantum Hall systems to identify Chern numbers and non-trivial flat bands in materials related to the quantum Hall effect. One result that especially intrigued me is that in the Lieb lattice, a flat band always appears when an additional site is introduced. This observation has raised many questions and challenges during my research, and I am eager to continue studying and deepening my understanding in this field.
