Laiting Su (蘇麗婷)
The University of Hong Kong
As a final-year Physics student at the University of Hong Kong in the coming semester, I am deeply passionate about exploring topological phenomena in photonic systems. My research interest in topological photonics drives me to understand how light can be controlled through geometric and topological properties, particularly in novel material platforms. This program strongly resonates with me as it focuses on cutting-edge topics like Fractional Chern Insulators, Topology/Quantum Geometry, and 2D Materials– all highly relevant to my current studies. I’m particularly drawn to the potential connections between quantum geometric effects in electronic materials and photonic structures. Attending would allow me to deepen my foundational knowledge, engage with pioneering researchers, and gain insights to advance my academic journey. I would be honored to contribute my enthusiasm and learn from this inspiring community.
