Hanqing Wu (邬汉青)
Sun Yat-sen University
He completed his Ph.D. in Physics at Renmin University of China in June 2016. Following his doctorate, he undertook postdoctoral research at California State University, Northridge. In December 2017, he joined Sun Yat-sen University as an Associate Professor at the School of Physics. His research centers on computational quantum many-body physics, where he applies advanced numerical techniques—including exact diagonalization (ED), density-matrix renormalization group (DMRG), cluster perturbation theory (CPT) and determinant quantum Monte Carlo (DQMC)—to investigate emergent phenomena in strongly correlated systems of condensed matter physics. His primary research topics encompass frustrated quantum magnetism, quantum spin liquids, magnetic excitations, and interacting topological phases.
