Ajit C. Balram

Ajit C. Balram is a member of the Theoretical Physics Department at the Institute of Mathematical Sciences (IMSc), Chennai. After completing his schooling in New Delhi, he joined the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Pune, in 2006 for his undergraduate studies. He graduated with a combined bachelor's and master's degree in science, specialising in physics. He then pursued a PhD in physics at Pennsylvania State University, working with Professor J. K. Jain, and completed his degree in 2016. Following a three-year postdoctoral position at the Niels Bohr Institute and the Center for Quantum Devices in Copenhagen, he returned to India to join IMSc as faculty.
