Professor Cecilia Mascolo received her PhD degree from the University of Bologna. She is currently a Full Professor of Mobile Systems in the Department of Computer Science and Technology, University of Cambridge, UK. She also co-directs the Centre for Mobile, Wearable System and Augmented Intelligence. Moreover, she is a Fellow of Jesus College Cambridge as well as the recipient of an ERC Advanced Research Grant. Prior joining Cambridge in 2008, she was a faculty member in the Department of Computer Science at University College London. Professor Cecilia Mascolo's research interests are in the study of mobile systems, the learning from their data offline and on device and their applications, especially in terms of mobile health. She regularly delivers keynotes and invited talks at conferences and workshops. Professor Cecilia Mascolo was on the editorial boards of several journals including ACM Transactions on Computing and Health, IEEE Pervasive Computing (2014-2019), Royal Society Open Science Journal (2017-2020), ACM on Interactive, Mobile, Wearable and Ubiquitous Technologies (IMWUT), ACM Transactions on Sensor Networks, IEEE Transactions of Mobile Computing (2012-2017), IEEE Internet Computing (2008-2012).
