Croucher Symposium 2015

11 December 2015

An inaugural Croucher Symposium was held on 8 December 2015, to promote exchange among research students and early career researchers.

2015 Croucher awardees, returned scholars and recipients of the Croucher Innovation Award participated in the symposium.

The newest batch of Croucher Scholarships presented their research subject in quick-fire three-minute presentations. The range of topics was broad, ranging from cognitive neuroscience - the neural and computational mechanism of cognitive control on perceptual uncertainties, to solid-state chemistry - relaxor ferromagnets with a Perovskite structure.

After the presentation, participants split into groups to continue their discussions. The Croucher Symposium gave young scientists the opportunity to network with peers and discuss scientific research in Hong Kong and overseas.
